Scheme of Study of BS in Botany (8 Semesters)

BS Botany with Single Major

An undergraduate/equivalent degree program with a single major is focused on one disciplinary specialization and comprises a minimum of 120 credit hours including the requirements of field experience/internship and capstone project. The breakup of credit hours is as under according to HEC Poly Fall 2023 to onward:

1. General education courses: 30 credit hours
2. Major: minimum 72 credit hours
3. Interdisciplinary/allied courses: minimum 12 credit hours
4. Field experience/internship: 03 credit hours
5. Capstone project: 03 credit hours

BS Botany with a Single Major and One Minor

An undergraduate/equivalent degree program with a single major and one minor is focused on one disciplinary specialization and one secondary but supporting concentration and comprises of a minimum of 132 credit hours including the requirements of field experience/internship and capstone project. The breakup of credit hours mentioned in HEC new poly Fall 2023 is as under:

1. General education courses: 30 credit hours
2. Major: minimum 72 credit hours
3. Interdisciplinary/allied courses: minimum 12 credit hours
4. Minor: minimum 12 credit hours
5. Field experience/internship: 03 credit hours
6. Capstone project: 03 credit hours
